All UCLA undergraduate students are welcome to apply as a policy analyst. We accept new members at the beginning of Fall & Winter quarters, though students may express interest at any time via email. Positions include:

Policy Analyst

Contribute 1–2 articles per quarter on policy topics of your choice, with support from Sector Leads and editors.

Sector Leader

Lead a policy area, help analysts within the sector brainstorm ideas for article topics, support the writing and research process, and compile weekly legislative updates.

Editor

Work with analysts to develop content and maintain publication quality.

Other Professional Staff

Our Policy Analysts have many other opportunities available to them that aid in the daily operations of BUPR while developing professional skills.

We are especially excited to work with students who are passionate about policy, but who may not have formal writing experience—our editorial process is collaborative and designed to help students grow as thinkers and writers.
